When Passion Meets Purpose

You didn't start your conservation and sustainability journey to spend 70% of your time on paperwork. Neither did I

I'm Jess

And my story begins in Australia's wild places—tracking spoonbills by kayak, surveying landscapes few people ever see, and living my dream as a field ecologist at CSIRO. My research directly influenced government policy, creating immediate impact for the ecosystems I've loved since childhood.

Then life intervened. Health challenges forced me from the field, and I faced what felt like an impossible loss. The work that defined me was suddenly out of reach.

Finding a New Path

Through years of rebuilding, I discovered something unexpected: my limitations could become strengths. I could still serve conservation, it just looked different.

What truly fuelled me at CSIRO wasn't just the fieldwork—it was making my team more efficient. When I streamlined our workflows, we worked twice as fast. when I learnt how and built custom apps, our data collection became safer, faster and more accurate. That same drive to support others now shapes everything I do.

The Keystone Difference

The name Keystone comes from a key concept in ecology. A keystone species has a disproportionately large impact on its ecosystem—like the humble echidna. As it digs and forages, it unknowingly helps regenerate landscapes, improve soil, and supports biodiversity. It quietly shapes the future without needing the spotlight.

That's the kind of impact I want to have in your organisation—foundational, supportive, and deeply effective.

A Personal Promise

Today, I work exclusively with conservation and purpose-led organisations because this isn't just business—it's personal. Every grant I write, every dataset I analyse, every email campaign I create - every project I take off your plate is my way of staying in the fight for our planet's future.

My health journey taught me that flexibility and understanding aren't luxuries—they're necessities. That's why I've built a business that adapts to your needs while staying true to our shared values.

Your Mission Is My Mission

When you work with me, you're not just getting technical support. You're gaining a partner who celebrates your wins, brings critical thinking, understands the urgency of your work, and brings scientific rigour to everything we do together.

Because in impact work, every moment counts. And you deserve to spend yours where they matter most—making the impact you were meant to make.

Life in Hervey Bay

When I'm not helping conservation organisations secure funding or streamline their operations, you'll find me in Hervey Bay with my rescued greyhound Tee, making art, snorkelling, or walking the beach at low tide.

Ready to focus on what truly matters?

If you're running an organisation that prioritises purpose and need strategic support behind the scenes, I'd love to explore how we can work together.

Because in conservation, every moment counts. And you deserve to spend yours where they matter most—making the impact you were meant to make.
